Packaging is a complex process and needs a lot of effort as well as logistic expenditure to make sure the air handling unit reaches the customer without any scratches or damage. Initially, the process used polystyrene foam inserts and corners, which were specially purchased for this purpose. However, at the customer's site, they were certainly quickly becoming waste. Options for other types of protection were considered, including the use of by-products generated at Wanas.
- Reduction in the use of polystyrene foam in packages by 9,000 m.
- Reduced amount of waste from 160 cm and 200 cm diameter gaskets (which are used for this purpose) by about 10,000 pcs/year
- Savings from the implemented change: about PLN 15,000/year
